I also saw an infrared camera that was really cool. It would be nice to find the infrared illuminators I’m looking for soon.

I spent countless hours looking all over the web for an infrared illuminator and located a cool site. I don't ever think there is a better place to search. Supercircuits.com was the only place that was easy to use and had what I was looking for. When it’s dark you don’t even need a hidden camera since it’s can’t really be seen in the dark. But with an infrared illuminator, anybody who enters the enter thinking they are safe under the cover of darkness will be caught on the security camera plainly due to the infrared illumination. These IR cameras can be connected, along with infrared illuminators, to motion detectors so they only record when there is activity within their range. If you have a security guard monitoring the camera, he can respond to the situation without the intruder even knowing he has been discovered by the camera.

I’m using the infrared illuminator so regular lights won’t disturb the animal activity. I’m going to record the night creatures and insects that come out into the garden at night with an infrared camera. I know things like mice and slugs and other critters only come out at night and I the project is going to show how many different things are roaming through the garden attacking your plants or each other while its dark and you’re asleep. I’ve never seen anyone do a science fair project like this and I think it will do pretty well. My dad said he if I write up a list of what I need, including the infrared illuminators, with sources and prices, he will consider buying it for me although it has to be reasonable.
